The King of the South was igniting each track with a viciousness that could well have fans and critics calling his forthcoming "Paper Trail" LP (due August 12) his best since "Urban Legend." Clearly, Tip's half-year-plus under house arrest wasn't just spent building a huge replica of the Eiffel Tower out of Legos ("It took me two straight days," he said of his work). The MC — who recently said he's not angry that he only came in at #10 on MTV News' "Hottest MCs in the Game" — found escapism in his music and, as he played a handful of tracks from his forthcoming album, at times he sounded better than we've ever heard him.There are boasts such as "Without the braids, I'm the closest thing to O-Dog" and admonishment of peers like, "What the game need with you? They got me."Yes, Tip is "back on top like a toupee.""Turn My Beat Down" feels like a 2008 version of LL Cool J's "Boomin' System." The bass is turned all the way up and the synths inject a futuristic feel to it. Meanwhile, Tip experiments with his voice, but his message is clear: His sounds shake up the city."People see me in the street now/ And they wave and tell me to turn my beat down," he raps on the chorus."You're a-- in trouble if you pull up next to me/ Beat so loud, you can't hear yourself think," he adds in a verse."On Top of the World" is one of the strongest contenders for the album's first single. It stars the newest member of the Grand Hustle fam, B.O.B., on the hook and Kanye West on a guest verse."It's just a track of reflection," Tip said of the song. "Looking back to my humble beginnings, just reveling on how far I've come. It's definitely a record that people like Kanye and I ... and even B.O.B. [can relate to]: when you're on the outside looking in and you know you're good. You know you're worthy of being in the game. You know you can compete on a professional level. And once you prove that, it's a level of self-assurance. I can't even describe that."Tip dances with self-doubt on "My Life, Your Entertainment.""Kids, you don't wanna be like me/ It's safer to watch me on TV," he says in one line. Later, he threatens to return to a darker space."Stayed in trouble just to show these suckers I ain't lost it/ I'll probably do it again/ That's the funny thing about it."However, he said "not at all" when asked if he'd do some of the things that caused him to face serious trouble before — something he'll also address in his forthcoming reality series with MTV. "It's back there [in my mind]. It's a piece of my mind that I have to be honest with you and share with you. It's a thought. If that thought is not there, I'd never be able to check myself. I'd never be able to say, 'Be careful: You know what could happen.' If I totally discredited the idea, I could never check myself.""My life, your entertainment," he chants on the hook. "My sorrow, your amusement/ Laugh at my pain and anguish/ So famous I could lose it.""For a long time, people came home and got they TVs on, looked at the news, just to see how my situation developed and entertain themselves," he explained of the record. "In the meantime, it's my life. People on the computer saying, 'T.I. this, T.I. that. They just said T.I. couldn't do that.' They comment. They don't know nothing about T.I."The message of "Collect Call" is clear: "Everybody loves you when you ballin'/ Don't nobody want you when you fallin'.""That song is about when you're on top, everybody wants to ball with you, but when you're not, you probably wouldn't know who to call" explained Tip, who raps on the song, "Everybody talking about me like a n---a just died.""I'm Illie" is an A-Town anthem that resonates with T.I.'s boasts about being the man in charge."Never been f---ed in the game, I'm celibate," he declares. ITS 4:32AM AND I HAVE SOME BAD NEWS……..

AS you all know, I shared with you the announcment of my newborn son Xavier Kingston Joiner on may 15th and also informed you that he was born prematurly. well this week was extremly difficult for him because his lungs were not strong enough to handle regular oxygen on his own. Xavier passed away this morning at 3:30am and I must tell you this, It is unatural for a parent to bury a child. I am telling you this because of the same reason I tell you when im having great times, life is too short to be fake. Hold on to your kids if you have them, protect them and show them you love them everyday you wake up and see them, dont take a second you get to hug them teach them and care for them for granted. You can have all the material wealth in the universe but it is NOTHING compared to having your family. I am thankful for all of my blessings and im not one to question God’s perfect plan, so I leave you with great love and thanks for the love that was sent earlier on my pervious blog to my son. Of course I need to take some time and handle my loss, STAY FOCUSED PEOPLE. Its not promised to any of us.

Last week, Usher took some time out of his busy schedule, to chat with U.K newspaper, The Daily Mail, where he mentioned his disire to collaborate with former rival, Justin Timberlake on the re-release of his current album, "Here I Stand".

I know Im a geek...but what can I say. This week, Bill Gates unveiles what is now being called "Windows 7", the next addition to Microsofts Windows Family. This version includes a completely re-worked windows interface, that supports Microsoft touch, which incorporates Microsofts new technology "Surface." [recently introduced exclusivesly to retails stores.]

Keri Hilson - Energy [Full]

"Entertainment Weekly" handpicked songwriter-turned-singer Keri Hilson for their Summer Music Preview issue.

The ATL-based singer picked over 200 songs before finalizing her debut record lineup. Keri also talked with "EW" about five tracks including her Justin Timberlake-collaboration, "Slow Dance" and her lead single, "Energy". "Slow Dance": Justin Timberlake co-wrote this ode to the slow jams of the late '70s and early '80s. "Some of my favorite songs come from that time. Vocally, I thknk it's one of my best performances."

"Energy": Written and produced by the Runways (Natasha Bedingfield's "Love Like This"), this break-up groove - a potential first single - instantly got Timbaland's stamp of approval. "He loved it so much that he didn't want to touch it. Very rare."

This track is str8 fire if you ask me. It has potential to be the first single.

Ciara - Supernatural [Snippet]

Remember the Bryan Michal Cox production "Echo" that failed to make the "Here I Stand" album release? Well looks Usher and B.Cox had other ideas for this track.

Ciara recently confirmed with MTV that "Echo" is now slated for her third solo album "Fantasy Ride" and could include some additional vocals from Chris Brown, or a feature from one of todays rap acts. [Though I have nothing but love for Lil Wayne....If he makes his way on this track somehow...I'm gonna hang myself from my apartment.]

Its gonna be hard to hear Ciara doing this one since my mind frame is set on Ushers version, but I know Ciaras talented...and will make this her own. It woulda made sense for her to feature Usher himself on the track...I dunno........

The Tricky Stewart-produced lead single, "High Price" features Ludacris. Ciara recently talked with "EW" about are 2 other possible tracks, "Work" & "When I".

Fantasy Ride will be released as a three disc album rather than all the tracks on a single CD. Five to six songs will be featured on each disc supplying a different theme. The first disc entitled "Groove City" contains slow jams similar to Ciara's Evolution single, "Promise". The second disc called "Crunktown" includes crunk-influenced tracks reminiscing Ciara's debut single, "Goodies". The third disc named "Kingdom of Dance" provides up-tempo house and freestyle cuts. After their initial collaboration on "Everybody" and "Toy Soldier", off her latest disc "Blackout", pop star Britney Spears is back in the studio crafting new hits with producer Jonathan "J.R." Rotem (Christina Milian, Jesse McCartney) and singer/songwriter Sean "The Pen" Garrett (Jennifer Hudson, Usher Raymond) for her 6th studio album with Jive Records.

The first official track slated for the mew project is "All The Way", written by Cathy Dennis. [Who also pinned "Toxic" which was Britneys first Top 10 Single since Oops I Did It Again. "All The Way" was produced by Jack Splash (Beyonce Knowles, Estelle Swaray) and Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald (Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne).

I'm personally a fan of Britney Spears. Unfortunately, she lives a life that forfeits her right to make mistakes in the public eye. I feel strongly this could be her own personal comeback album. Blackout, was an attempt to comeback, but just had poor timing and no promotion.[IF YOU ASK ME] More power to you Britney.

T.I. - No Matter What [Part 2 Featuring Skye]
This version in official. Its pretty much the same as far as T.I. parts are concerned, but on this track, Skye sings the Chorus and ad-libs over T.I.'s verses. "No Matter What" is the first single from T.I.'S 6th studio album, Paper Trail, in stores August 12th.
