In between legal woes and battling rivals to the throne, T.I. has managed to still handle business on the music side.The popular Atlanta rapper has announced the signing of legends Eightball and MJG to Grand Hustle Records.
The huge announcement was made live during T.I.’s set at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash on Saturday (June 14th). To solidify the partnership, Eightball and MJG came out and performed “Don’t Make” to roars from the sold out Phillips Area crowd.
Eightball and MJG debuted in 1993 with the regional hit Comin’ Out Hard.
The duo went on to achieve mainstream recognition with On Top of the World, which included the hit single “Space Age Pimpin’.” They released two albums on Bad Boy Records: Living Legends (2004) and Ridin High (2007). The former was certified gold and has sold over 600,000 copies. The duo also has nine solo albums between them.
The most successful are Eightballs’ Lost which went double platinum, and MJG’s No More Glory, which has been certified gold. Contract terms or an album release date have not been announced by Grand Hustle Records.
